In today’s world, consumers are expecting more. We want ethically produced products! We want quality ingredients! We want affordable prices! We want it shipped directly to our door! And most importantly, we want our purchases to make a difference! Enter SoapBox.
I had the pleasure of trying SoapBox products for the first time a few months ago. If you know anything about me, it’s that I’m a sucker for a sustainable company, but I was weary at first to give up my volcanic charcoal soap. Hygiene is very personal and most people, myself included, are brand loyal to their everyday products. However, if you take a deeper look at WHY you’re devoted to a certain brand, you’re more likely to be accepting of other companies with similar attributes.
Their Mission
SoapBox Soaps was founded in 2010 with the basic mission to empower people to change the world through everyday, quality purchases of soap. For every Soapbox product you purchase, the company will donate a bar of soap to someone in need. These bars of soap are made from recycled bars from hotels that have been shaved down, sanitized and reformed to make a brand new bar. Often times these bar donations are also paired with proper hygiene education. Additionally, once you purchase a product, donations go to help support groundbreaking research from The Carter Center and the F.I. Proctor Foundation at UCSF, which conducts research to see how water sanitation & hygiene education helps reduce infections.
The Products I've Tested
SoapBox is everything you could want in a personal hygiene product! So far, I have tried the Bamboo Shampoo/Conditioner Set, Coconut Oil Shampoo/Conditioner Set, Citrus & Peach Rose Body Wash, Pomegranite & Plum Hand Soap, Citrus & Peach Rose Bar Soap, Sea Minerals & Blue Ivy Bar Soap and Coconut Milk & Sandalwood Bar Soap. I really can't choose my favorite part about each of the products I've tested because there are so many positives to each soap.
